What is SEPA Direct Debit?
The European Direct Debit system (SEPA Direct Debit) is one of the 3 products (together with the European transfer and card payment) that have been developed in the context of the implementation of the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area).
What is a SEPA Direct Debit mandate?
By digitally approving the SEPA Direct Debit mandate, you grant Seqr permission to debit your bank account for the amounts of your payments with the Seqr app. Click here in order to read the mandate.
How do I know that my account has been activated?
When you download the Seqr app, you can easily register. Your registration is completed when your spending limit is raised from €0 to €25 within the timespan of a few minutes. If this limit remains at €0, then we were not able to verify your identity during the registration process. In order to correct this, you need to scan your ID once again. In doing so, make sure that the picture is in focus and clearly legible.
You can easily complete this process by following the steps below:
- Open the Seqr app and click on SEPA Direct Debit Account;
- Then click on the (i) behind SEPA Direct Debit Account;
- Verify your identity by making a photo of both the front and back of the document.
- The camera will automatically open upon clicking on ‘Front’ or ‘Back’.
Unless you're using the Seqr Account. Your Seqr Account is immediately active, but in order to use it, you should top up first or receive money from a friend or family member.

Can I change my bank account number in the app?
When you’d like to change your bank account, you need to contact customer service. Customer service will then delete your bank account from the system. In order to use Seqr again, you’ll need to register again. Your account will be blocked until the new registration has been successful.
Can I link my credit card to Seqr?
No, at the moment it is not possible to link your credit card to the Seqr app.
Can I use the same IBAN number on different devices?
You can use a joint IBAN number on no more than two devices. Please note: these devices must be registered using different forms of ID, telephone number and email address that concur with the data of the person using the device.
