Tap & Pay widget not working on first start

Hi folks,

when I'm using the widget to start Tap & Pay, it is only working, if the app was already running. If the app is not running in the background, regardless of wether is was closed before or it was not used for some time, I briefly see an error message after the app is started and then I'm redirected to the Home screen. The error message says something about the service not being available.

Test environment:

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9195)

Android 4.4.2

Seqr app version 4.6.20

Reproducible: always


Seqr app is not running.

Have the Tap & Pay widget placed on the launch screen.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click the widget to start Tap & Pay.

2. Put the app in the background by clicking the home button.

3. Click the Tap & Pay widget again.

Expected behaviour:

The Tap & Pay function is started everytime via a click on the widget.

Actual behaviour:

The Tap & Pay function is properly started only if the app was already running in the background.

Additional information:

I'm using Evie (current version 2.04.08-4) as an alternative launcher on my phone and maybe this is related to the observed problem. I'm mentioning this because I'm suspecting Evie to be causing problems I'm having with some other apps, too.
